Not at all! You can give one of our personal or family meal plans a try for as little as one week. Skip a week or cancel your plan at any time before your next renewal date.
Absolutely! You can change your meal selection each week, as long as your edits are in before our weekly deadline, which is every Friday at 11:59pm EST.
No problem at all! You can "skip" a week of meals without having to cancel your plan. Once your "skipped" week has passed, your charged and deliveries will resume.

Yes. Unless you "cancel" or "skip a week" your meal plan will continue to renew every week.
If you want to change your meal plan from your existing meal plan please cancel your current meal plan prior to the cut off period of Friday 11:59pm. Then start the process of selecting the new meal plan and checkout. Your new plan will be effectively for the following week as long as done prior to cutoff period.
Personal Meal Plans - The following meals plans are delivered once per week on Sunday's: 5 Meal and 7 Meal Plan. All other Meal plans will be delivered twice a week on Sunday's and Wednesday's. Family Meal Plans - The following meals plans are delivered once per week on Sunday's: 3, 4, 5 and 7 Meal Plans. All other Meal plans will be delivered twice a week on Sunday's and Wednesday's. Delivery schedules are subject to change as we expand our offering.
If you are ordering for one or two see our personal meal plans which offer single servings per meal. If you are a family of 4 or more checkout our family plans which provide 4 servings per meal. Our meal plans are designed to be eaten for Lunch and Dinner at this time. For example a 5 Meal plan is meant to be eaten over 3 nights and 2 Days. If you are looking for a full week of meals you would sign up for our 14 week meal plan. These our guidelines and all our meals will have a best before date so you can eat the meals in the manner that best suits your individual needs. The same holds true for our Family meal plan however the key difference being our family meal plans provide 4 servings per meal.

All our meals are delivered once a week on Wednesdays between 4 and 11pm EST. In certain situations if we are unable to get entry to the residence your package will be delivered the following day. Alternatively, you may also be able to arrange for pickup in certain situations.
In most cases your food will arrive by end of day Wednesday (4-11pm EST). There could be a delay of an additional day if delivery falls on a statutory holidays. Although rare there could be situations where food will not arrive for up to 2 days to get to your door, depending on where you live. We"ve made and tested our packaging to keep meals nice and cool for up to 60 hours 48 for shipping and 12 hours at your doorstep. While our delivery partners work hard to make sure all our customers receive their orders in that time frame, occasionally unforeseen restrictions can lead to a delay. If for any reason your meals don"t make it to you in that 2-day time frame, let us know at orders@zaydu.com so we can check with the carrier and make this right. To ensure your meals arrive quick and fresh, we've partnered with a number of different shipping carriers. We'll use whichever partner is able to get your meals to you as fast as possible, based on where you live.
To keep our meals super fresh in transit, we use special packaging technology, which involves changing the composition of the internal atmosphere of the meals to improve the shelf life of fresh food by 200% or more compared to regular packaging methods. This process lowers the amount of oxygen which slows the growth of aerobic organisms and the speed of oxidation reactions. It's safe and allows our meals to withstand 60 hours of travel and delivery time, without ever using preservatives. If you’ve ever bought a bag of salad or any fresh, packaged food product at a grocery store, it has been packaged using the same technology. Also to note, it's totally okay if your gel packs arrive partially melted! Your meals should still be cool to the touch.
Your meals will stay fresh for a full 7 days in the fridge until your next delivery arrives! We use an innovative way of packaging to deliver the desired shelf life of our meals. We lower the amount of oxygen in the container, which helps to slow the natural breakdown of food products. This process allows food to last longer without the use of preservatives. If you’ve ever bought a bag of salad or any fresh, packaged food product at a grocery store, it has been packaged using the same technology.
We ship our meals in insulated boxes with gel packs that will keep the box at refrigerated temperatures for quite a long time! We thoroughly test them in all seasons across all climates. Keep in mind that it is normal for the gel packs to be slightly melted by the time they arrive. This is because they release cold air into the box as they melt. The cold air does dissipate quickly when you open it, so you should transfer the meals to the fridge immediately.
Here is how to recycle and dispose of packaging materials: Boxes - Break down the box and place curbside with your recycling. Insulation - The insulation is curbside recyclable. Gel packs - Gel packs are non-toxic, You can store the gel packs in your freezer and use them the next time you pack a cooler, or you can donate them to a local shelter. You can also throw the gel in the trash and recycle the sheet. Food containers - our food containers are BPA free recyclable plastic #1. Be sure to rinse them thoroughly! We’ve worked hard to find effective shipping methods that aren’t wasteful.
Although we don"t offer customization of meals at this time if you have any special requests simply click the "Request Dish" function from our Menu page and complete the form. We will do our best to meet your request. Alternatively, you can also provide any additional notes as part of your meal order.
Because our meals are already cooked, our meals and packaging are designed to be heated in the microwave. If you want to heat your meals in the oven, please transfer the food to an oven-friendly dish. Do not use our containers in the oven.

At the moment all Zaydu catering orders need to be placed 3 days in advance and are working hard toward bringing this time period down.
We offer two types of deliveries: Just in Time and Day of Delivery. On Time Delivery - Only available to customers in the GTA and Hamilton regions. All orders will be delivered on the event date within the time window provided. Day of Delivery (DOD) - If you're outside of the GTA all orders will be delivered by noon the day of the event. All caterings dishes will be sealed for freshness and will arrive chilled. Simply remove the packaging and heat prior to serving.
